Cosmetic Dentistry

Whitening, veneers, bonding and smile design that work with your face and your teeth, not against them.

Overview

Cosmetic dentistry improves how your teeth look: their colour, shape, size or alignment. Done well, it should look like your own smile on a good day, not like dental work.

Healthy teeth and gums come first. We check for decay or gum problems before any cosmetic treatment, so the result lasts.

Common questions about cosmetic dentistry

Does teeth whitening damage enamel?

Professionally supervised whitening is considered safe for most people when used as directed. Some people notice temporary sensitivity. Whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings, which is worth knowing before you start.

How long do veneers last?

It depends on the material, your bite and habits such as grinding. With good care, veneers can last many years, but they may eventually need replacing.

Can I see what my smile might look like first?

Ask us about this at your consultation. We can talk you through the expected changes before you decide on treatment.
