Questions

Before you book.

Which treatments does Tafodent offer?

General and family dentistry, children’s dentistry, gum care, root canal treatment, orthodontics (braces and aligners), cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges and dentures, dental implants, and oral surgery including wisdom tooth removal. See all treatments.

How do I book my first appointment?

Call us, send a WhatsApp message or request an appointment online. An online request is not a confirmed booking. A member of our team will call you to agree a time.

Which clinic should I visit?

Choose whichever is easier to reach: Tolichowki or Golconda. If you would like to see a particular specialist, tell us when you book and we will confirm where and when they are available.

Do I need a referral to see a specialist?

No. You can ask for a specific specialist, or start with a general consultation and we will involve the right specialist if you need one.

What happens at a first consultation?

We ask about your concerns and medical history, examine your teeth and gums, and take X-rays if they are needed. Then we explain what we found and your options. You don’t have to decide on treatment on the day.

How can I find out what my treatment will cost?

Costs depend on what each person needs, so we explain the cost of your treatment plan after the examination and before any treatment begins. You are welcome to ask about costs when you call.

What should I do if I have dental pain or swelling?

Call the clinic during opening hours and tell us about your symptoms so we can advise you. If you have swelling that is spreading to your eye or neck, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a serious injury to your face, go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
